1. How do we know if CBD oil is effective for dogs?
The short answer is that we don’t. As the science and medical world continues to study CBD in both humans and animals, we’ll hopefully begin to know more. What we do know is that every living being with a spinal column has an endocannabinoid system. Which means they have receptors that can react with cannabinoids.
We also pair our brand-spectrum hemp extract with wild Alaskan salmon oil. The omega 3 and omega 6 found in salmon oil can help with effective absorption of hemp-extracted CBD into the bloodstream.
On a personal note, as the owner of a four-pound chihuahua, I can understand the need to ask this question! The best advice we can give you, as a brand, is to consult with your vet or pet nutritionist. You know your companion best, which is why keeping a close eye on your dog as they begin Restly will help you notice any changes and gauge what you think is an effective dose.
2. You recommend talking with a vet first – why?
CBD is a new and emerging industry. And, while Restly is deeply committed to quality and responsible dosing, we like to leave the medical advice to the medical experts!
Talking with someone who knows your pet and their health history is always important when starting something new. It’s like calling your BFF for a second opinion – it can’t hurt.
If your dog has health conditions or is taking medication, it’s especially important to consult with their vet and make sure our Companion Oil won’t interact with any medication. Top
3. Can you explain “broad-spectrum hemp extract” a bit more?
Broad spectrum means our hemp extract contains a variety of naturally occurring phytocannabinoids (like CBD, CBG, CBN, and CBC). However, it does not contain any THC, which can be toxic to pets.
Phytocannabinoids are chemical compounds produced by the cannabis sativa plant.

4. My dog is, shall we say, particular. What’s your refund policy?
We’re a small business, building Restly without the financial support (or obligation) of investors. For that reason, we’re unable to fulfill refunds. What we do offer is a three-pack of single-dose sachets. Each sachet contains one suggested dose for dogs 25 pounds and over. (Limit one sample pack per customer, while supplies last.) 5. Why do you give a “suggested” starting dose?
The short answer is that there’s simply not a one-size-fits all dosing system for CBD – for humans or animals. There’s also not a scientifically proven “effective dose” since every dog, like every human, is different. So, in short, we don’t want to make any promises or claims.
When we say “suggested” we mean that the decision is ultimately up to you, based on what you know about your dog.
We do suggest (there’s that word again…) starting with a low dose and working up gradually, monitoring your dog for three days between increasing their dose. And, of course, work with your vet and closely monitor your dog as they start taking Restly. Top
6. Do you have a short answer for why CBD isn’t FDA approved yet?

It is important to note that the FDA has expressed that it is open to evaluating the regulatory framework of CBD. In July 2019, the FDA issued a statement stating that they are going to obtain more research and other safety and health input from the public and scientific community to inform themselves on how to proceed with any rulemaking. The last FDA update in March 05, 2020 reaffirmed their commitment to continuing research and working towards providing more market clarity. Unfortunately, there are still a lot of answers unresolved, and we suggest you stay informed on the release of any new FDA statements.

7. How are you testing the formulas – and where can I get the lab results?
Each of our scientifically designed formulas is tested four separate times (yep, four!) to check for pesticides, microbiological and residual solvents, and to ensure the perfect balance of cannabinoids and terpenes. Testing is completed after each of the four key stages of production:
Test 1: After primary extraction
Test 2: After fractional distillation
Test 3: After formulation
Test 4: After production batch testing
You can reference the Batch No. of your Restly Companion oil with the sample certificate of analysis from one of our trusted lab testing partners. The Batch No. is located on the bottom of your bottle.
